The story of words and their affect on you, seems rather relevant and important now.  There are several esteem building exercises for the reader to do to help them cope.

The story portion with Grayce The Talking Cat is geared to young people, but the story presented applies to all ages. Dealing with low self-esteem.

Talking about what is going (on as you read the story) and the interactions of the story characters is important to gaining insight and solutions to the demeaning/thoughtless actions of the characters.  There are times when people aren't aware of what they are doing to another person that is important to talk about too. 

Boost your mental health and those in your family and around you.  There are relaxing activities to work on that will help you grow and overcome lack of confidence in self.  

Discuss the exercises with younger family and friends to make it easier for them to understand.  The end result should be learning to feel worth at the level they understand.  Not being mean, being nice, not making fun of others, helping others, you get the idea. 

For the adults in your world, the exercises can be done by printing the pages for them. This is better than ripping the pages out or writing in a valuable book. 

You or they can work in private or together to discuss what they have experienced or witnessed and find solutions that work for them, you and everyone before tackling the world again.
